Jason Cassidy appointed as Senior Manager

Baldoyle Utd are delighted to announce that former Shelbourne and Drogheda Utd A Team manager Jason Cassidy has been appointed as Senior Team Manager for the new Season 2013/14.
Jason who hails from East Kilbride in Scotland, lists Queens Park, Hamilton Academicals, Motherwell among his clubs during his playing career as well as Shelbourne and Drogheda Utd. He also holds a UEFA B coaching licence.

Jason will be assisted in this role by Darrell Mooney. Darrell represented Ireland at Under 15,16,17 and 18 and was at Aston Villa and Cercle Brugges as a player before he returned to the League of Ireland where he would play for Drogheda Utd, Shamrock Rovers and Galway Utd among others.
Darrell who also has the UEFA B coaching licence, is a highly respected coach with the NDSL academy and is a qualified Physical Therapist.

Jason and Darrell will be holding open trials for the new season at a date to be announced.

We are delighted to welcome Jason and Darrell to Baldoyle United and wish them every success in the coming seasons.

The First team will be competing in the AUL Premier B division whilst the Sat team will take their place in Division 1 Sat also in the AUL.

Baldoyle United Academy for 4-7yr olds cancelled 19 Jan

Due to the bad weather the Academy is cancelled tomorrow Sat 19 Jan. We will see you all at 10am next week.

The Academy for 4-7yr olds resumes after the Christmas break on Sat 12 Jan. Cost is just €3 per week. No registration fee, so just turn up, play and learn. All you need to bring are boots/runners and a drink.

The Academy runs every sat morning from 10-11am on the All-Weather pitch at the Clubhouse on Brookstone Rd. Our Coaches have completed FAI KickStart 1 as a minimum.

They have also completed coaching workshops with Austin Speight, Director of Coerver Coaching Ireland. Coerver Coaching is recognised as the world’s number 1 soccer skills teaching method. Coerver Coaching is a football skills teaching method suited for all ages but especially for players aged 5-16 years old of all abilities and focuses on Individual skills development and small group play. John (Jack) Hazel RIP

It was with great sadness today that we heard John (Jack) Hazel had passed away.

Jack was a Stalwart with Baldoyle Utd for almost 40 years, holding many positions within the club ranging from Manager to Secretary and Chairman. He was still Senior Secretary up until last year when ill health restricted his involvement with us.

A popular figure within the game, Jack’s quick wit will long be remembered by the many players who came to know him during his service with Baldoyle Utd. Possibly the greatest ticket seller ever to have set foot inside Graingers, Jack will be missed by his many friends in football and we extend our sympathies to Annie and his family. May he Rest in Peace
