VIDEO: BALDOYLE U12S MAKE IT 2 CUPS IN 2 DAYS

Pavel Toromanov's U12s took the NDSL U12 Cup on Sunday after a cracking see-saw game with Kinsealy Utd.

The sides finished 5-5 after extra time with no more than a goal between the sides all game. It was a fantastic team performance but 'keeper Cole Jones proved to be the penalty shoot out hero with 2 top class saves . That set it up for Hassan Shawqi to coolly slot home the winner and start the celebrations (see video). Pictures to follow later tonight

Well played to Kinsealy Utd who were unlucky to be on the losing side today.

🏆 U11S CLINCH NDSL CUP FINAL WIN

Baldoyle Utd U11s won the NDSL Cup on Saturday thanks to a fine team performance and two goals from Dan Ring.

Niall Behan and Justin Reilly's team were forced to defend for long spells against a talented Ratoath Harps side but the Baldoyle boys restricted the Harps to long range efforts. Keeper Daniellus pulled off a couple of fine saves when called upon but it was late in the second half before Ratoath breached the Baldoyle back line. 2-1 the final score.

The win is even more special as most of the team have been with the club from 4 years of age having come through the Saturday Baldoyle Junior Academy.

Well done everyone. Fantastic result!!

Congratulations to Niall Behan and Justin Reilly's U11s who are through to the U11 Cup Final after winning their Semi Final 3-1 against Balbriggan today.
In a tight game Dan Ring gave Baldoyle the lead after just 4 minutes and it remained 1-0 at half time. Balbriggan drew level 10 mins into the second half but Dan Ring restored our lead when he got his, and Baldoyle's, second goal with 8 mins to go. Beni Hajnal made sure of the victory when he scored our third with 3 mins remaining.

Best of luck to Paul and Franks U14s in their Semi-Final on sunday morning at 11.15am in Racecourse Pk.

Baldoyle Utd U15 Girls 2 Linfield FC 5

An enjoyable game of football took place between our under 15 girls and @Linfieldladiesfcyouthacademy , our guests from Northern Ireland.
The game was played in a very sporting manner with both teams showing some great skills and showcasing all that is good about the women's game in Ireland, North and South.
Baldoyle Utd started very strongly and took the lead through Nicole Haas on the quarter hour. The visitors then took control and took the lead themselves 10 mins later with two quickfire goals. Linfield Fc added a third right on half time to give them a 2 goal cushion that their play deserved.
Baldoyle utd started the 2nd half strongly and threatened the linfield goal a couple of times, but our northern guests were clinical in front of goal and punished the Baldoyle defence on 52 mins to extend the lead to 4-1.
An injury to Laura Reid led to a break in play for 5 mins. Erin Kimmage then reacted quickest to pull a goal back for Baldoyle Utd but it would be Linfield FC who would have the final say in the game as they added a 5th goal with 10 mins to go.
We were delighted to welcome Linfield to Baldoyle and look forward to renewing our friendship soon.
Best wishes to Laura Reid who was taken to hospital after the game. We hope you make a speedy recovery.

MATCH REPORT: U14A CUP Qtr Final - MAYNOOTH 0 BALDOYLE UTD 2

Great win for the U14s in the Cup. Thanks to Baldoyle Utd player Conor Fitzpatrick for the report.

(If you have any match reports or pics from this weekend then e mail them to: baldoyleunited@yahoo.ie or WhatsApp to 086 023 1420.)

Report: On a lovely evening in Maynooth, Baldoyle u14a went out onto the pitch looking to book their place in the semi-finals of the Brendan McKenna cup.

The visitors got off to an excellent start with Kyle Caffrey hitting the back of the net after he took it around the keeper to give Baldoyle the lead. Maynooth however had a few chances, with one of them producing a top corner save from Baldoyle keeper Conor Fitzpatrick.

Baldoyle went into the second half knowing that one goal wasn't enough, and late on in the second half, Sean Cullen popped up with the goal that secured our semi-final place
Well done to all the lads and the coaches Paul and Frank.
